Our Work

We are proud of our work and pleased to share some of our recent jobs here.

Clients use us because of our expertise in the very latest proven open source frameworks and because we do what we say we’ll do.

Modern frameworks. Pragmatic approach. Client focussed.

Coastguard New Zealand

This app allows boaties to log trips with Coastguard, check the weather, and save their favourite fishing spots on a map.

This app uses React Native, an alternative to native iOS and Android development. It has a number of benefits, most obviously the cost savings of developing in a single code-base.

We built this app with Designworks and AKQA Auckland.

Science Learning Hub

The Science Learning Hub is the result of a great partnership between Haunt and the University of Waikato’s iEngaged team.

In addition to website development, Haunt Digital has provided the technical and UX advice that iEngaged have used to create one of New Zealand’s most important online education resources.

The Science Learn website is used by hundreds of thousands of students and teachers in New Zealand, and millions of visitors worldwide.

The site is an integral component of the New Zealand Government’s Science in Society Plan – A Nation of Curious Minds, He Whenua Hihiri I te Mahara.

Consumer New Zealand is one of New Zealand’s oldest and most trusted brands. We support and maintain Consumer’s websites consumer.org.nz and powerswitch.org.nz.

The sites are built in Rails and Javascript and provide subscription and other services to Consumer members.

Ako Aotearoa

Ako Aotearoa is a government-funded organisation that supports New Zealand’s tertiary sector teachers, trainers and educators.

Based on designs from our friends at Foundry Creative we built the Ako Aotearoa website in Silverstripe 4.

The site is an important platform for reaching their community and we are continuing to support and improve the site, consolidating functionality onto the Silverstripe platform including event bookings, payments, and more.

Our work with Ako Aotearoa builds on Haunt’s strong legacy working with organisations in the education sector.

Māori History

We built this English and Māori website on the Common Web Platform (CWP) on behalf of Core Education for the Ministry of Education.

Māori History is a teaching resource that is part of Te Kete Ipurangi – the online knowledge basket – (TKI) which is New Zealand's bilingual education portal and is an initiative of the Ministry of Education.

National Science Challenges

A group of websites focussed on news, events and engagement with the National Science Challenges. They are:

  1. The Deep South National Science Challenge
  2. The Sustainable Seas National Science Challenge
  3. The Science for Technology and Innovation National Science Challenge

Haunt built these sites in Drupal 8 and they are hosted on Haunt’s managed hosting service for NIWA and Callaghan Innovation.
